Updates & Changes!

The New News feed!

Folks I figured it was about time for a new look for the news posts, and this was just what I was looking for! I hope that this shows up fine, and I would like to point out a few new features. Also some that are coming soon!

First of all as you can see the news blog is gone but not really. You can find it again by pressing on the blog link, on the link bar! Next is the Facebook group I have made especially for the fans of "Choopy & Friends." I also should have a twitter here soon (update that when it comes up!)

The new things coming in the future; new Archives, and boy oh boy it is getting close. I am almost about to post those. I think Friday or Monday at the latest. As you can see you can now tag the comic and come back to the last one you were at, fun fun!

I am goanna be working on an RSS feed today to see if I can get that working. That is, right after I get the twitter going and make sure the blog is correctly linked!

The big Rant!

Okay, first off I would like to say that for most people politics is important and for an even greater amount of people they would like to care less. But for everyone there is an opinion on someone inside the office or another.

Here is mine...

I can understand that people like Obama and his plan for the country, what I can’t understand is why they would think that he actually wanted to become president. You can see it all over his face an his carrier, he was not ready for the white house and he knew it. The problem was that he went into the election on the tail end of a fed up country tired of voting for the lesser of two evils and a generation of voters that had nothing better to do then to vote for the "Coolest" presidential candidate. I know this cause I am part of that generation that said, "Hey you voting?"

"What for Idol? That show is really going downhill."

"No man for president?"

"Um, not really I could care less whether old guy 1 of 2 gets into office and rises taxes, subsequently raising our minimum wage, leaving us in a stale mate as to our economic problems."

"Well have I got news for you! Obama, man. He'll change the Whitehouse, because he is young and cool!"

"I don't know dude, we got a big economy problem about to happen what is he saying about the whole tax and min wage things?"

"Tax cuts and spending for economic growth."

"I can see that, that would get anyone the office after the rut we have been in."

"So you’re voting Obama 2008?"

"Hell No!"

"McCain?"

"Naw, libertarian."

"Ah."

That was me and a girl who was all Obama will Change the Future of our kids. I almost voted for him just so I could look like the kind of yuppie idiot that she would go out with. I didn't though so I'm good. I really don't think that anything he said on the campaign trail would have gone over at all had it not been for the list of presidential candidates in the past. The closest thing to him on any of the other ballots would have been Al Gore. He has become the Steve jobs of the political world. still doing stuff but the only people who care are the ass holes who like to hear themselves talk about how they are better than everyone else and will always be that way. Obama is more like Bill Gates, he's popular but doesn't flant it and actually knows how to make the things he uses work.

The media has been on Obama lately for "selling out" or Changing what his policies are. I don't think that that should be hyped as much as it has, they're really just twisting what they know to be true to sell papers(problem is, it works) but what people should understand is that Obamas got a hard job. and he went in guns a blazing. He found out that that was not going to work, so he changed his game plan. I don't feel like he's wrong or right, because I haven’t seen his whole plan and sometimes the first few plays let you know how the team is goanna play the game. He didn't know the rules, but he does now and he is working it like a pro!

That doesn't excuse his inexperience. He left the senate before he gained the amount of respect that he would need in the oval office. He probably thought he would get a few votes and then stay in the senate, later coming out in the real crisis to be the big savor. Course he had to change his plans when he started to win. I also think that he started to believe that he really was change and "yes we can!" (Obama the Builder!)

As far as this country goes, we have no loyalty to anything. I know that we could never really be, "I am an American!" but we could be Texans and Nevadans and Oregonians, loyalty to one’s own state would allow for politicians who would actually be able to get things done right.

Right now each person who represents each state cares about expanding their carrier, not what’s good for their state. Which means instead of caring about the opinions of the state they represent, they throw in with other state opinions and senators, so that they can get to be president. They ignore what their state wants them to do, and when you represent a state you represent the whole state and every decision you make effects that state. Not the little cities the small towns, all of it.

What I think it is, the people in office have no idea that their ideas and actions reflect the state they represent and the people they speak for. They are small men and woman on to big a stage and they can’t see the audience they affect. They only see the other actors.

We need people like the founding fathers who would want what’s best for their state and are disinterested in what other states want, but are willing to work together with each other for the benefit of all. And a president who wants what is best for the whole country.

Oh man Bad case of writers block

Now that that storyline is over I have mad writers Block so I have to go back to political jibes, whoo lucky me. politics are such a bore. luckily tomorrow I have a huge rant I am gonna post in the news area along with my political cartoons. So until further notice, Choopy is not a political and social gag a day. I hate it when I have to use this stock stuff to move the comic along....

Ok new Comic is up.

Sorry again I had to leave and like I said before I don't have the luxury of auto updates so I make the choopys just before I post them. I have done a few in advance because I knew I was gonna need the time but this caught me off guard. I had a lot of fun Reffing paintball so I don't regret it!

I had to go to a paintball gig so the comic wont be up till after noon, here is a filler to tide you over till then. Sorry again.

New Archives.... yay...

Well yeah they are kinda new but not really there the same old archives just inside this new layout, like I said still playing with the whole php idea...

Sick artist is sick...

yeah today I went out to look for a job again... not so much luck. On top of the fact no one is hiring I eat some bad pizza last night and now I am sick in the tummy. Really what did I do to piss god off so much that he would have to go and defile the greatest of all food groups, I can't even enjoy the left over cold pizza. thats like a guy coming over a sneezing in your fast food bag, where you had those ever delicious "bag fries." Now they're ruined, and you only have the idea of what epic godly fries those would have been had the man only been able to get to the bathroom and use toilet paper!

The new Archives are being evil so I might put up the old ones. I don't know I would really like to get this to work. But it means you all have to go without on of the basic all important features of any respectable webcomic.

The New Look Of PCI Comics & Media

Ok so I had to go back and make the site more IE friendly, now it works in IE and looks fine, I hope to put the Archives back up soon I am working on a thumb based system, needless to say they wont be up for quite a while and if they are up soon it will be mostly text an only a few thumbs. thanks for being patient!

For those of you using IE I am very sorry that it looks the way it does, currently building and testing an IE friendly layout.

Thinking of making a few changes

um.. yeah just a few Ideas that I am having I am gonna play with, biggest thing is gonna be the loss of the Archives, as far as i can see at this point I don't need them so they are going bye bye!

Eh times are getting hard

So I had a bit of trouble getting to sleep last night but it's all good any who I know I haven't updated the archives in a good long while but I will have that done by tonight. Sorry people I need to get on that. |:/|

and so it goes for a month

today is the 30th Choopy comic and I am pleased that it is still going strong! celebrate with me that I have also found a new way of making the pages for ITMOZ so that I can indefinitely and with more content make that comic! have fun on the site and remember to tip your waiters!

Choopy & the art of daily comics

So I think I am gonna try something new with Choopy. So far I have had to come up with a new joke everyday for the past 25 days and a few of them were repeats of old choopies I had done in the past. So now that I have begun to be less able to come up with a joke situation a day I think I need to evolve the strip by giving it a story line. not really a big one it will go along the same lines as the ones that are already up. All being stand alone comics. but this new storyline will lead up to a climax and give the characters there personalities that I never really explained. with the comic coming up on being ongoing for a month I think that its a good evolution, I hope that it will go well. this storyline should last about a month(30 days) I will still make the non plot related ones for special occasions and if I hear something I think should be put in there. So be kind Choopy never was supposed to have a plot but my ability to come up with a joke a day seems to be waning without at least a basis of environment, which is exactly what this plot is gonna do for me.

I have to say a big thanks to a very good friend, Robbiethe1st he calls himself and what he did for my site was absolutely magical! He took my crazy iframes and cleaned it up so that now it looks neat and runs perfect. all I have to do is adjust it to ITMOZ and it will be a dream come true. I am sorry that the comic came so late but I am gonna be working on a way that it updates on time every time, don't know when that will be but here is hoping!

A little late but not bad

I was lazy today I slept in and didn't post the comic till late, it really doesn't matter I don't think people read this comic that much anyway. today's choopy was inspired by my sisters blog http://multiplexgirl.blogspot.com/ check it out its cool.

In The Midst Of Zombies

I now have the comics ready to go back up, I should have that done by mid day today. so look forward to reading the first 3 pages of ITMOZ again I am very excited to have all my comics up and running smoothly for the first time. and with this new site everything is going well, there is a little problem with the frames not reloading when I post a new choopy but that note up there should fix that. It wont be there forever tho.

A few changes on the way...

So I have some changes to the layout of the site that I am gonna implement either today or tomorrow, depending on when I get around to it, It's not a big change and most people probably wont even notice it but the site will run better and cleaner than it has been in the past. lets just say I am gonna go crazy with iframes...

ITMOZ will be back up by the end of the week depending mostly on my ability to ink and shade the comics. So look for that w007!

like I said I have the new site look up now and I changed the ads around to be more effective. Or at least I hope they will be more effective...

The new layout is done!

I know that the current layout is still the same and I assure you I have a new layout for you which will be up very soon, most likely today, if not, tomorrow. A new layout for the site coming soon

So right now I am working on a new layout for the site that will have a better looking Choopy comic area. right now the Choopy comics are just out there and not really framed well so I am working on a new look that will hopefully bring a better feel to PCI comics & media. I am also hoping for a more professional look. I hope to have the new look working some time new week. As for the job search, I really haven't been having too much luck so I would like to let you all know that the ads on this site are currently the only income I have. it would be helpful to get some regular traffic on the site. Thanks for your support.

I Moved and the comics almost suffered!

So I successfully have where I live figured out. and I almost missed a Choopy post but luckily i got up and finished unpacking in time to get it done! So now all I have to worry about is tomorrows Choopy. I am still waiting for comic Gen to get back to me on ITMOZ but I think it will go well. as far as those 3 pages I promised, well Due to the move I couldn't get it done in time so I'll just have to try and do that today...

A new news feed on Blogger and, the Rasism of Choopy.

Okay, the current Choopy is actually a social commentary on how people argue to no conclusion on things that are not clearly defined or change every day. So I look at it this way, they are both right and wrong at the same time, it doesn’t really have a literal meaning, as for In The Midst of Zombies well I am currently redoing the pages so I should have the first two back up by I think tonight. That’s only a maybe though I will however post an extra 3^rd page because of the problems that have been going on with the schedule; luckily I think I might do a two a week upload. Won’t that be fun?

Other than that, I decided to feed the news through blogger so that I might be able to get an RSS feed going. I am working on making a whole new site layout so as to have a better looking site. It won’t be around any time soon but I hope it looks better and runs better. Just to let you know this is the first fully working site I have made so it does look like crap. But hey, you got to start somewhere, right?

Big things are going to change here in the next week. I am moving ITMOZ off of this site and going with a free host because the cost is not good for me with both comics based on this site. I am hoping that the change will be smooth and I can get the comics done faster. I am also going to be changing tactics and inking the comics by hand and not on the computer. hopefully this will save me some time and make the comics look better. I am sorry about the problems with ITMOZ it has not been a good launch week. but I am happy to say that Choopy is going strong and still looks great!. So with Saturday's update we will lose the option to go to "In The Midst Of Zombies" until I have the New site working on ComicGenesis. I need you to bear with me on this cause the change might be hard to do.

As for Choopy nothing will change. He will still be up every day and on this site.

Ok So I have some bad news, the next ITMOZ wont be up until Saturday. This is due to a housing situation which has taken up most of my time. So I am sorry I didn't get that comic up on time I hope to have it up on Saturday. Thank you to www.foxfireattack.deviantart.com for the great filler comic. hope to see the next page of the comic on sat. thanks for being patient.

Ok So I think I am goanna make Choopy a 4 panel comic instead of a 3 panel. This is because I am limited by the small amount of space to write the comic. If all goes well things shouldn't be to hard to change. as for ITMOZ, I am sticking with the old style of shading but the new way of inking. hope you guys will like the new look.

So I have to tell you that I am looking into a new style of inking and shading the new ITMOZ, which looks a lot better, but takes a good long while to do. But I am perfecting it so I may still be able to use it. Any way, If you don't know and most people don't, Choopy's name came from a misspelling of Chompy. and I say it "Cho-pee" even though it is spelt like "chew-pee" So please say Cho-pee. thanks! That's it. New Choopy!

Ok! So news for today is; the links are up and working, archives still going strong with each "Choopy" I post. I am currently on track with the next page of ITMOZ so no worries there.

In other news, my portfolio will be completed within the next week. That part of the site had to go due to space issues. oh well. I have a nice little ad that I will begin to use on project wonderful here pretty soon, but I am goanna wait until next week when I have a few more Choopies to show and at least two pages of ITMOZ.

As far as updates go, I am trying to get a regular schedule down. I am thinking that around morning for the "Choopy" comics, something like 8 O'clock. As for ITMOZ that has yet to be decided.

The news for today is actually all about what I did yesterday, the archives! Yes they are up and working fine! Enjoy looking through the back "Choopy" comics, and clicking between page one and the cover of ITMOZ. have fun on the site! Oh and look for the links to be up soon as well! Also I realize that the latest Choopy comics are a little different size then the rest of them, but I should have that fixed once the weekend is over.

Due to some unforeseen problems with my new living arrangement today's comic has been pushed back till tomorrow, thank you for your patients I hope this wont happen too often. Luckily tomorrow you'll get two comics in one day!

So I have good news and bad news... Naw I don't really have any news at all I just wanted to test out the new look of the news feed. Heh I guess that could be news. So drop me a line, I love to here peoples feed back. How do you all like the new design? Hopefully I will be able to keep up with the comics this time. The cost for this site might get to be a bit much so I might need to look into a new host, won't that be fun? Any who, I am looking for a full time job at the moment, so if you need an illustration done I do, do commission art. At the moment I'll take any job.

The new apartment is ok but its not great, at least I sometimes have a bed to sleep in right? It does take its toll. in fact as I wrote this I had the worst head ache. But that's life right. Lots of crap been happening after the winter storm. My truck has stopped working. so now I have to ride my bike to find a job. It just keeps sucking balls. But I am optimistic about everything. Please keep reading the comics cause I'll keep making them! lol.

Some news for the new comers to the site The "Choopy" Comics Are up and running smoothly, they update every day around mid day. I hope to have the first comic of In "The Midst Of Zombies" done on Wednesday, And its post will be on Thursday. So if I can get that one up it's a good indication that those comics will run without fail.
